Dry Bombay Duck (popularly known as Bombil in Maharashtra) are a catch from Arabian Sea from the coast of Alibag, near Mumbai. They are directly dried under the sun with head and tail on. They are consumed only after trimming head and tail and cutting it into small pieces of about 1 inch size. It is used in various Indian recipes.
